SILVER BRIDGE RUN
SILVER BRIDGE RUN
Designed for riders looking for a bit more exertion, our new Silver Bridge run is a 12.5 mile round trip tour, which begins by taking guests over our traditional route along the mighty Rio Grande and enters the lower section of the Coller State Wildlife area. This new trip then proceeds north in the shadow of the beautiful Palisades (Please watch out for our Prairie Dog friends) then through Middle and Upper Coller, all the while keeping riders within a stone's throw of the Rio Grande. In Upper Coller the forest provides a cool canopy for riders as they leave the Ponderosa Pines behind and enter the land of giant Spruce trees trackside. After exiting the Spruce and Aspen, riders pedal over the rushing Rio Grande on the old Denver Rio Grande Silver Bridge and shortly thereafter take a break at our riverside turnaround where they can rest, have snacks or just dip their toes in the Rio Grande before heading back to our South Fork Depot. This trip lasts approximately 2.5 to 3 hours and while a relatively flat run, does require some exertion.
